ICYMI : Glossop Fire Station Open Day
Last Saturday (25th July) saw an open day take place at the Glossop Fire Station.
The event which featured a range of activities which took place at the Fire Station, was aimed to both highlight fire safety issues along with providing a change to raise funds for charity with two group Ruben’s Retreat and the Fire Fighters Charity been in attendance.
Amongst the activities taking place there was a ‘chip pan’ demonstration to highlight the dangers of cooking with an open chip pan particularly at times when you might not quite be paying attention and you can view a short clip of the demonstration by clicking here.
To me though the main highlight was a demonstration of how the fire service deal with road traffic accidents, and you can view some images from the demonstration below or by clicking here
