Happy Retirement to PCSO Anne Gribbon
On Friday afternoon a gathering took place on the square at Winster Mews, so folks could say a fond farewell to PCSO Anne Gribbon.
After working for Derbyshire Police for 23 years, the last 8 of which working as a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) covering beats across New Mills/Hayfield, and Gamesley, Charlesworth and Chisworth, Anne has decided to bring her ‘beat’ with Derbyshire Police to an end.
Little Anne, as she is affectionately known, also worked covering the enquiry office at Glossop Police station and others across the High Peak. Her distinctive Geordie accent will be sadly missed whether helping guide youngsters at some of the schools across the area, to trying to keep the thing on the straight and narrow.
Cards and gifts were also presented from several local groups she has worked with other the years including Gamesley School, Jericho Cafe, G52, Gamesley Boxing Club and local councillors. There were also cards from several individuals and a picture gift showing events and activities Anne has been involved in over the years.
All present wished Anne well for the future and also passed on best wishes and good luck to PCSO Tracy Collins who will be taking over from her.
