ICYMI : St Margaret’s and Immaculate Conception Well Dressing 2015
During last week if you were passing, the church of the Immaculate Conception in New York Charlesworth, (just before you go over the bridge to Broadbottom on Long Lane) but you did not stop, you will have missed the chance to see the work done by some of the parishioners of the church along with children from St Margaret’s and All Saint school in keeping the Derbyshire tradition of well dressing alive with the panel’s done to celebrate the spring at the church.
The main design this year was to celebrate the year of the religious with an image of the Venerable Sister Nano Nagle who founded the order of the presentation sisters, with a smaller panel to celebrate the new Bishop of Nottingham by way of an image of Saint Patrick, along with two smaller panels done by the school children.
