236/237 Summer Time – other changes
In theory from today, but with actual more noticeable change from tomorrow (Monday) Stagecoach Manchester are switching to their ‘Summer’ timetable.
Now this normal just means some minor changes to peak time journeys but for a number of services including the 236/7 there changes are more substantial.
Full details are available by clicking here but in terms of the 236/7 I’ll cover the details below.
First up the remaining direct journeys to / from Manchester are removed, and are either replaced by apparent connecting (with no bus change) journeys with the 216 at Ashton to go through to Manchester or on the return with extended 216 journeys to Stalybridge.
Now in a sense the good news, which is that during the day between 10 and 4 there will be journeys every 20 minutes from Glossop toward Ashton, with a 236 at 53 minutes past from the Market Arcade and 237 journeys at 03 and 23 – however the 237 journeys will no longer go up to / start from Shirebrook between 10am and 5pm.
Back from Ashton, the 236 between 10 and 4 will be at 46, with 237 at 06 and 26 again with the 237 journeys stopping at Glossop Henry Street rather than going up to Shirebrook.
Full details are available on the new timetable which can be viewed by clicking here
