September 23 Bus Time Changes
Sunday, 3rd September, sees changes taking place to some local bus services.
In the case of the 237 Glossop to Ashton Under Lyne services and a range of services across Greater Manchester, the change is relatively minor, with times just returning to their pre-summer break times.

Regarding Glossop’s other Sunday services, the news is mainly good, but not entirely, with the expected cancellation of the Sunday service on the 61 Glossop to Buxton route.
But the good news, at least for now, is that the Sunday and Bank Holiday only 257 Sheffield to Castleton via Glossop and Chapel en le Frith service is continuing.
The service will also be rerouted/retimed via New Mills and Whaley Bridge to partially replace the 61 with connections at Chapel en le Frith to 199 Manchester Airport to Buxton so you can still get to Buxton.
However, the changes to times will now mean that the earliest you can get to Buxton on a Sunday will be 11.26 as opposed to the 10.22 available on the Sunday 61, with the latest connecting journey back from Buxton to Glossop being 15.55 as opposed to the 16.40 on the Sunday 61.
The connection at Chapel is also quite tight, with only 2 minutes between buses in either direction.
You can see the new times for the 257 in the picture below, or go to http://antmck.uk/102, and if you haven’t tried it so far, don’t forget that single journeys are only £2 until the end of October.
