January 2019 Bus Timetable Changes
Although our local Glossopdale bus services have escaped from any changes to there times this year, if you travel beyond Glossopdale by bus, there are a range of changes to those services you may connect to beyond Ashton Under Lyne, Hyde or Marple.
You can see full details for all the changes on the Transport for Greater Manchester website by clicking here – but there are a few I thought worth highlighting here.
The biggest of the changes local to us, is the effective withdrawal of the 168 Ashton Under Lyne to Chorlton service, replaced instead by the new 150 service which runs from Hyde to the Trafford Centre, along with changes to a number of other services (7, 7a, 230/1, 217) in Ashton Under Lyne along the former route of the 168 to in some way replace it.
The new service 150 (click here to see timetable details) will run as a half hourly service during most of the day taking around 90 minutes to reach the Trafford Centre. It will run via the same route as the 201 up to Belle Vue through Denton, then follow the former route of the 168 via Longsight and Fallowfield to Chorlton before going via Trafford Park to get to the Trafford Centre.
