Glossop Local Link
Glossop Local Link – Replacement for the 202 Glossop to Hyde Evenings and Sundays.
As you may be aware, with effect from the end of Saturday 2nd April, the 202 from Glossop to Hyde will no longer run in the evenings (Monday to Saturday), or all day Sunday / Bank Holidays.
This is happening due to a combination of Transport for Greater Manchester, and Derbyshire County Council (to save the 394) withdrawing the subsidy that covered the evening and Sunday service.
In its place, DCC has arranged with TFGM for it’s Local Link service to be extended into Glossopdale to cover the route of the 202 as detailed below.
Glossop Local Link Service Area
Local Link as detailed previously is listed on the TFGM website, as :
Local Link is a low-cost, flexible, accessible transport service that ‘fills the gaps’ where other public transport options are limited or not available.
The service operates in those areas of Greater Manchester where there is a need. Local Link is available to anyone living or working in these areas – there are no age or disability restrictions.
It is necessary to register before using the service.
Although not completely set-up yet on the TFGM website, details on the Glossop link have been added to the TfGM Local link homepage.
If you click on the link above you can then choose your applicable Local Link, in this case Glossop, which will then bring up details on the specific service.
To use Local Link, you have to register, at the moment you can only do this by phone (tel 0161 200 6012), but you will be able to on the website shortly.
Once registered, you then need to book in advance, again you will be able to this via the website shortly, however at current you need to do this by phone (tel 0161 200 6012).
The service should run from 6.00pm Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday.

At current System One / Get me there tickets are not valid for the service but again should be soon.
