Olympic Torch Relay Comes To Buxton
Tomorrow evening (29th June), between 5.03pm and 5.30pm the Olympic Torch Relay will be visiting Buxton.
The half hour visit will pass through various parts of the town including the Railway Station, Opera House, Market Place and The Crescent, and there’s a whole host of events taking place during the day to celebrate the visit.

Please note if you are intending to come along, there will be a whole host of road closures during the passage of the torch, and ‘viewers’ are advised to get to Buxton for 3.00pm or consider using public transport – which will also have a number of alterations during the visit.
The torch is also visiting various other places in Derbyshire during the day, and as such if you going anywhere past Buxton by bus – your journey may well be subject to delay and details of the alterations and cancellation to public transport are available on the public transport section of the county council website : www.derbyshire.gov.uk
