Land at the rear of Cottage Lane – Great Places Leaflet
Houses on Cottage Lane, along with houses on the bottom part of Glossop Road next to Gamesley Convenience Store, will have received a leaflet from Great Places around a proposal they have for land at the back of houses on Cottage Lane.
The proposal is to develop 51 new affordable houses with associated access, car parking and landscaping.

Great Places advises that they are “engaging with the local community” to inform them of the proposals and gather their views.
They ask for comments on the proposals by 8th December before submitting a detailed planning application to the Council in mid to late December.
From the details on the leaflet, they advise that the proposed mix of properties is as follows:
- 15 x 2 bed/ 4 person houses
- 20 x 3 bed/ 5 person houses
- 16 x 1 bed/ 2 person apartments
Access to the site will be via the current gap about halfway down. The drawing on the leaflet indicates that a house on the side of the gap will be demolished to widen the access.
They are asking for comments on the proposals either via email to cottagelane@hiveland.co.uk

They have requested any comments by the 8th of December and advise that they will consider any feedback in developing their final proposal.
