Form or function (part 2) ?
Avid readers may recall that earlier this year (form or function) I made reference to concerns that the council’s development control committee were taking the wrong ‘track’ whilst considering the replacement of railway bridge 42 in Whaley Bridge.
Well whilst they took suitable notice of my comments in reaching the decision to refuse the applcation, it would appear I was not alone in thinking that function should be more of a consideration, because in a report to next week’s development control committee listing all recent appeal requests, an appeal has been lodged to overturn the decision made.
Now whilst the appeal may have no sucess, it will be interesting to see if the Planning Inspectorate take the view that function is more important than form.
