Planning application HPK/2024/0401 – Land to the rear of Cottage Lane
Early this year, folks acting on behalf of behalf of Great Places Housing Association (Westshield and Eden Building Design) submitted a planning application to build 51 affordable dwellings on land to the rear of Cottage Lane.
At the beginning of September, I was advised by case officer that the application was been withdrawn for technical reasons, but that it would likely be resubmitted.
The application has now been resubmitted and although the bulk of the details appear to be the same as the previous application, this is now a new application – HPK/2024/0401.
As before the documents advise that the 51 dwellings will consist of 34 dwellings for rent, including 16 one-bed apartments in one block, 11 two-bed houses and 7 three-bed houses, along with 17 for shared ownership, which consist of 4 two-bed houses and 13 three-bed houses
Access will be via the gap in the middle of Cottage Lane between 50 and 52, with the details submitted advising that 52 Cottage Lane will be demolished to widen the gap to allow for a 5-meter road and 2-meter footpaths on either side.
2 parking spaces will be provided for each house and 1 parking space for each apartment.
The documents also advise that all Category A and most Category B trees will be retained and incorporated into the design.
The existing footpath that cuts across the site would be diverted from its current route.
You can view all the documentation (including the responses from last year’s consultation) on the planning section of the council website at http://antmck.uk/11a
The application is open for public comments until 14th November 2024.
If you want to object, comment (or even support) the application, you can do so via the comments page http://antmck.uk/119 on the Council’s website or via email to PlanningCommentsHPBC@highpeak.gov.uk including the planning application no HPK/2024/0401 in the subject line.
Please note that as this is a new application – any comments submitted on the previous application need to be resubmitted to count against this new application
