Gamesley Bus Times Sep 20

Update 4/9/20 : From posts first seen on the GLOSSOP 394 / 341 / 236 BUS ROUTEgroup – the new 236 has stopped running.

This has been advised as due to financial problems with the parent company (GB Group).

I’ll advise any additional updates as and when received.

This is part 2 in the series of local bus posts, this one is specifically looking at Gamesley services and how they will be from Tuesday 2nd September.

The main change is that a new 236 service, which will be run by North Western will start, and offer for the first time in quite a while journeys directly from Gamesley to Tameside Hospital and Ashton Under Lyne.

The third post in this series will look at options around bus tickets.

With effect from Tuesday, we will now have 3 bus services running around Gamesley :

236 – Shirebrook, Glossop, Simmondley, Gamesley to Ashton Under Lyne via Tameside Hospital

341 – Glossop, Simmondley (some journeys), Gamesley, Charlesworth to Hyde

394 – Glossop, Gamesley, Charlesworth to Stepping Hill Hospital

This will mean that in terms of buses from Gamesley to Glossop and return, we will have the following:

Bus from Gamesley to Glossop

Monday to Friday

Saturday

and from Glossop to Gamesley

Buses from Glossop to Gamesley

Monday to Friday

Saturday 

Times are at Glossop Market Arcade

* Goes via Simmondley

All 236 journeys continue to Ashton Under Lyne – via Gamesley approx 12 minutes after leaving Glossop

All 394 journeys continue to Stepping Hill Hospital – via Gamesley between 7 to 10 minutes after leaving Glossop

341 journeys at 07.40 (Mon to Fri) 07.58 (Sat) and all journeys after 08.40 (Mon to Fri) 09.06 continue to Hyde – via Gamesley between 8 to 12 minutes after leaving Glossop

The 394 is currently running to a special covid timetable and could be subject to further change at short notice
