SFTW – Glossop Carnival 2016
SFTW – Glossop Carnival 2016 :
It’s that time of year again, so for something for the weekend this week, there’s only one suggestion and that’s the Glossop Carnival weekend taking place in Glossop’s Manor Park.
Although the weather looks a little grim , hopefully the sun will be shining and there will be thousands in attendance to enjoy the fund packed weekend that has been put together by the Glossop Arts and Leisure Association.
Kicking off with a grand opening by the Mayor of the High Peak, Cllr George Warmby at 12.15pm on Saturday, the ‘Fabulous Kapow Sisters’ will then be performing the first of their many acts 15 mins later.
From the details in the Glossop Chronicle (which I’ve not seen elsewhere on line so far), there is also an RSPCA dog show (details on the poster below), stall, rides and entertainment including Dynamite Dance, Children’s entertainer Uncle Chris, a static model aircraft display plus music by Glossop Community College Wind Band.
The fund continues on the Sunday (3rd July) with more music and entertainment.
