Something for the weekend in Glossop ?
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, there’s a whole host of events taking place in Glossop.
Starting with last Saturday’s Silent Night Carol’s and Christmas Market, Totally Locally Glossop are running a fortnight-long ‘Winterfest’ campaign, which is bringing together a whole host of fantastic offers from local independent traders.

Also if you didn’t know it, this Saturday, (6th December), is Small Business Saturday and to support the events, this weekend the Council is offering free parking on all its car parks for the day.
Next up on Saturday between 10.00am and 4.00pm is a Food Market & Christmas Bazaar at The Glossop Labour Club on Chapel Street.
Amongst the stalls will be Howard Town brewery, A Tea A Day, Leagram Farm Dairy, Holly Cottage Preserves, Cracken Crafts, About Jam Time, Firefly BBQ, Bella Upcycle + Christmas cakes, cards, jewellery and beauty products.

Moving on to Sunday and Glossopdale Trust in partnership with the Market Traders Association, Totally Locally Glossop & High Peak Nightstop offer a “Victorian Christmas”
A whole host of activities and seasonal merriment in historic heart of Old Glossop.
Taking place from 2.00pm until 6.00pm there will be a Christmas market with festive fayre, traditional crafts, unique gifts, street entertainment, music, local ales, mulled wine and much more.
It’s guaranteed to be fun for all the family, and from 3.30pm there’s a Lantern Parade and carol singing. The event is also collecting donations for the Glossopdale Foodbank and Old Glossop Residents Association.
