G52 Neighbours Day

Last Thursday, G52 a new group made up of local residents, working with DCC Adult Education and others held the last in a week long series of events.

The event tagged with the aim of ‘Meet The Neighbours’ gave those attending a whole host of activities including very nice cream tea’s with home made cakes, hot-dog or burgers, along with hearing from the fabulous Regent swing band whilst kids could have their faces painted.

In addition there was also a range of Craft stalls and workshops along with an information stall on the Bare Essentials Food Bank.

As well as thanking the G52 group, thanks also need to go to Adult community education, the Community Partnership Team at HPBC, Morgans Newsagents, The Chemist, Greggs,  Mettricks, Taylor Mittchell’s Hairdressers, Stockport County Football Club, Pete Aldred, Wendy Richards at Eyesparkle, Rooney Moos, The Jericho Café, Londis, Kim McGrath and Julia Bann, for all their help, contributions and donations to the setting up of the group and the coordination of what is hoped to be the first of a range of year round activities and events for all of the community to enjoy.
