Gamesley Christmas Market 2012
Thursday evening saw this year’s Gamesley Christmas Market.
The event which is now (I hope) an annual fixture in the calendar is a kick start to the festive season, and in addition to a range of stalls and activities, had this year a completely different attraction to the norm with camels making an appearance at the event.
The stalls also including one highlighting the Manchester Credit Union which now operates in the area, along with an information stall on steps you can take to avoid Loan Sharks.
The event also had a full range of performances from Gamesley School to fire dancers, however unfortunately due to a meeting in Glossop I missed all of them except the first one !
As with most local events, the thanks have to go to the small but dedicate band of helpers who put the event together, along with the Gamesley Rangers some of whom even volunteered to be a shark for various parts of the evening.
