Beware of bus service changes (April Surgery Press Release)
Gamesley Councillors Anthony Mckeown and Dave Wilcox along with Hadfield South Councillor’s Bob Mckeown and Edward Siddall are inviting Gamesley residents to join them for the their next councillor’s surgery, which is taking place this Saturday (7th April).
The surgery which is taking place in the slightly warmer venue (from last week’s open air surgery in Glossop) of the Gamesley Residents Association Office on Winster Mews in Gamesley, will have a focus this month on changes to local bus services which are taking place from Sunday 15th April.
Cllr Anthony Mckeown said “Whilst you will still be able to get to the same places as you can now by bus, there are some significant changes to the times of the Hyde bus, along with the introduction of a new week day services that will run between Glossop and Chisworth via Simmondley and Gamesley”
Cllr Mckeown stressed “Whilst the changes are important to locals that use the bus, we are not just interested in transport issues and if locals have any other issues they want to raise, please come along on Saturday and let us know.”
Copies of the new timetable will be available at the surgery, and details are also available on Cllr Mckeown’s website at www.anthonymckeown.info
The surgery runs from 9.00am until 10.00am and locals are welcome to call even if they don’t have a particular issue or grumble to raise with the councillors.
Councillor Mckeown also said “Don’t forget that councillors aren’t just available at surgeries and if you can’t attend our surgery in person or at all, we still want to hear from you and there’s a variety of ways you can get in touch by going to my website at www.anthonymckeown.info/getintouch for further information.”
