Local Action Group – Feb 2012
Last Wednesday afternoon in the GRA, the Gamesley local action group met.
A number of comments were made about an increase in dog fouling, and some lose dogs.
Concerns over car parking on the pavement near the new(ish) traffic on Glossop Road were flagged up, along with details that due to budget pressures, aside from some minor car park works (including repairs to near the top of the shop’s car park) there would not be any environmental improvement works at the moment.
The monthly neighbourhood walkabout’s were flagged up and locals in attendance were advised that these were still taking place but that no leaflets were done any more due to budget issues, the dates are available from Frank in the HPCH Office with the next one to take place on Thursday 23rd February at 2.00pm starting from the office.
Anti social behaviour issues seem to be on the decrease at the moment, with very issues been raised. Other issues discussed including the food bank proposals, a possible scheme involving Melandra Castle, and the hope around a credit union starting soon.
The next meeting will take place on Wednesday 27th June at 2.00pm in the GRA Office.
