A mixed bag the weekend just gone (30th October) for Gamesley’s first and reserves teams, with the first team managing a 2 all draw away to Middlewich Town, but the reserves got a thumping going down 8 – 2 at home to Wirksworth Town in there first and only tie this seasons in the Derbyshire Cup.

This coming Saturday (6th November) sees what almost seems like a rare event taking place with the first team having a home fixture to the team one place below them in the league Garswood United (kick off 2.00pm). With the reserves resting at the bottom of the reserve league they have no time to lick there wounds to last weeks defeat and must instead hopefully rise to the challenge of an away fixture to mid placed Billinge Reserves.
