A624 – Glossop to Hayfield – Road Closure / 358 Bus Route
Image via WikipediaIf you’re needing to travel over to Hayfield and parts south of Glossop during the next two weeks in the evening beware as you’re journey will take longer than expected due to the A626 between Glossop and Hayfield being closed every evening from 7.00pm until 6.00am the following morning.
The alternative route for the duration of the closure is via the A626 (Glossop to Marple road), the B6101 (Marple to New Mills road) then if going to Hayfield itself the A6015 (New Mills to Hayfield road).
In addition to the lengthy diversion route the 22.15 (10.15pm) 358 from Stockport to Glossop, via Marple, New Mills and Hayfield, will not run between Hayfield and Glossop, and the 23.15 (11.15pm) from Glossop to Stockport (the return journey of the above) will not run between Glossop and Hayfield, for the duration of the works.
The works are scheduled to run from Monday 18th October to Friday 29th October.
