Gamesley FC’s first team have got off to a bit of a rough start this season, with a number of defeat’s and draws so far including a 6 – 1 drubbing at the hands of Styal. The team however may well be bouncing back from that as last Saturday’s (4th September) tie finished up in a 0 – 0 draw against Club A Z who were last year’s league Champions and beat Gamesley on both of the league ties last year.
This Saturday see’s (11th September) sees the first team away once again this week to Garswood United.
Gamesley FC’s reserves have fared little better than the first team in the league campaign so far with a 3 – 1 and 4 – 1 defeat in recent weeks, however like the first team they may well be pulling things right as last Saturday’s tie finished in a 2 all draw against Poynton Reserves who beat them in both league ties last year.
The Saturday see’s the reserves at home to current 2nd placed in the league Pilkington’s Reserves, kick off 3.00pm.
Gamesley’s Villa’s league campaign got underway last Saturday / Sunday with the under 11’s (5th September) putting 5 past Moston Valley 11’s to finish 5 – 0 winners, unfortunately the under 12’s were not as lucky finishing up 5 – 0 losers to Northside JFC.
The coming Saturday see’s the under 13’s start there league campaign with a away fixture to Cringle Park, with the under 12’s at home on Sunday (12th September) to Avro FC 12’s kick off 10.30am, and the under 11’s away to Curzon Ashton FC 11’s.
