An extra to the usual football news with a bit of good news from the
Sunday pub team of the Centurion who beat Albion 3 – 1 in the semi final of
their league cup they now face Masons Arms In the final on 7th May.
Gamesley's first team also had luck this week with a 3 – 1 against
Styal, however the reserves had bad luck against the reserve side of
the first teams opponents losing 3 – 1.
The end of the season is almost upon us with only 2 league games left
for the first team the first on the 2nd May away to Club AZ and the second
at home to Rylands/Crosfields on 6th May 6.30pm kick off.
The reserve have a little more work to do with 5 Matches left starting with
an away tie to Denton Town Reserves on the 28th April, followed by home ties
on 30/4 (against Eagle Sport Reserves 6.30pm kick off), 2/5 (Daten Reserves
3.00pm kick off), 7/5 (Garswood United Reserves 6.30pm kick off) and 9/5
(Middlewich Town Reserves 3.00pm kick off).
