Half term activities
Half term is rapidly approaching and the Gamesley Community Centre
Partnership along with Gamesley Library and Groundwork Gamesley have put
together a packed program of activities for the half term.
Starting on Monday (18th February) with a session at Gamesley Library on the
theme of community safety for the 6 to 11 year old (between 1pm and 4pm),
and a lyric workshop for the over 11's (5pm to 6.30pm), moving on to Tuesday
(19th February) with a family swimming session at Glossop Baths (between
10am 2pm) and a craft session at the Community Centre for the 4 to 6's (from
4.30pm to 5.30pm).
Wednesday (20th February) see's inflatable fun for 6 to 11 year's (4.30pm
and 5.30pm), followed by on Thursday (21st February) a special story time
session for parents and toddlers (between 2pm and 3pm) along with a trip to
Sheffield Ice Rink at a bargain cost of £1.00 for residents and £3.50 for
non-residents, which includes travel, skate hire and entry to the rink.
Finally on Friday (22nd February) there will be the Ultimate Bird of Prey
Show between 1pm and 2pm at the Community Centre. Eagles, vultures, falcons,
kites, hawks and owls will be giving flight demonstrations along with the
opportunity to handle some of the birds. Tickets are £2.50 with discounted
tickets available for Gamesley residents and families.
In addition running all week from midday till 4pm will be free use of the
outdoor games area.
