Bank Holiday Buses and last chance to Huddersfield
Monday sees the last of this year’s summer bank holiday’s, which means that local buses, are a little differently with just the 202, 236/7, and 61 running and for the last time of the summer season the 951 to Huddersfield.
For us locally (on Gamesley) it means there will be just the 202 by Stagecoach running to Sunday times.
This mean’s that the first bus off Gamesley towards Hyde will be 9.15am, with the first bus to Glossop at 9.45am. You can view full details by clicking here (Sunday buses to and from Gamesley).
Elsewhere across Glossopdale the 236/7 (Glossop to Ashton) is running to Sunday times, with the 61 (Glossop to Buxton) also running to Sunday times. You can view details by clicking here (local bus services).
Sunday (30th August) will also see a whole host of mainly minor timetable changes (although none in our immediate local area) with service switching from summer holiday times to normal times.
Don’t forget if you’re out for the day, a day ticket can offer a cheaper option, with a whole range available from operators own tickets to the SystemOne tickets which can also cover trains and trams – click here for details
Finally Monday also sees the last chance for this year of venturing directly to Huddersfield from Glossop via the 951 run by Tates Travel.
The first bus to Huddersfield leaves Glossop at 8.55 and takes just under an hour to reach Huddersfield, going over Holme Moss and via Holmfirth, with the last bus leaving Huddersfield at 4.05pm and Glossop at 5.10pm – full timetable details available by clicking here (Glossop to Huddersfield).
