Bank holiday buses – and day trip to Huddersfield

As usual for the bank holiday (Monday), local buses are a little different with just the 202, 236/7, 61 running and back for the summer season the 951.

For us locally (on Gamesley) it means there will be just the 202 by Stagecoach running to Sunday times.

This mean’s that the first bus off Gamesley towards Hyde will be 9.15am, with the first bus to Glossop at 9.45am. You can view full details by clicking here (Sunday buses to and from Gamesley).

Elsewhere across Glossopdale on the 236/7 (Glossop to Ashton) is running to Sunday times, with the 61 (Glossop to Buxton) also running to Sunday times. You can view details by clicking here (local bus services).

Also back for the summer season from today (Saturday) is the 951 run by Tates Travel that runs from Glossop to Huddersfield on Saturday’s, Sundays and Bank Holidays until (and including) the August Bank Holiday on Monday 31st August.

The first bus to Huddersfield leaves Glossop at 8.55 and takes just under an hour to reach Huddersfield, going over Holme Moss and via Holmfirth, with the last bus leaving Huddersfield at 4.05pm and Glossop at 5.10pm – full timetable details available by clicking here (Glossop to Huddersfield).
