394 – Forthcoming changes in March 2015
From details on the DCC website, changes are coming to the 394 from the 1st March.
At current the service runs from Glossop to Stepping Hill Hospital, but from Monday 2nd March most journeys except on Saturday’s and early mornings / evenings will instead run to Stockport Bus Station and won’t call around the hospital.
From the timetable information on the DCC website (click here for details) there’s no change to times from either Glossop, Gamesley or Stepping Hill (on the A6 rather than the hospital), and the afternoon missing journey on school days will still be missing.
To a certain extent having a direct connection back to Stockport again, without having to change buses could / should be a good thing – but it comes at the cost of a direct bus into the grounds of Stepping Hill Hospital rather than passing nearby on the A6 as it will do in the future.
Additionally the extra journey length on the A6 may well lead to problems with running to time as traffic can be bad on the stretch of the A6 out of Stockport.
On Saturday’s it switches back to its current route (as a subsidized service) running to and from Stepping Hill Hospital.

Another hospital you have put out of reach,THANK YOU,another reason to try and get decent/rival bus company to start a bus run that includes hospitals from gamesley,hope you loose customers as quick as you loose hospital route’s
