202 and 341 Glossop to Hyde Service this weekend (5th/6th October)

This weekend (5th / 6th October) Besthill Bridge in Broadbottom will be closed for emergency work to take place, meaning that the 202 and 341 Glossop to Hyde services will not be able to travel on their normal routes.

During the closure, buses on Services 202 and 341 will divert from Mottram via Mottram Moor, Woolley Bridge and Glossop Road to Gamesley, and then continue as normal to Glossop and again via Wolley Bridge and Mottram Moor towards Hyde. As a result, the bus stops through Broadbottom and Charlesworth will not be served. On Saturday, Charlesworth will however, still be served by the 394 bus but will have no service at all on Sunday.

There’s no alterations been advised to the timetable, however with the bridge closed and buses taking the alternative route, I expect delays are likely.
