A Good Sunday in May

Following on from the success of the local elections, the new High Peak Labour Group held it’s first meeting on Sunday 8th May in the Glossop Labour Club.

Amongst the discussions and deliberations made during the day, it was very pleasing along with the re-election of Cllr Caitlin Bisknell as leader of the High Peak Labour Group, to be re-elected as the deputy leader of the Labour Group and more importantly to see a vastly increased (as picture below) Labour Group together for the first time.

A post election celebration followed to which David Blunkett MP (as pictured at the top) was invited as a special guest, and a good time was had by all.
