What’s local services are important to you ?
Gamesley Councillors Anthony Mckeown and Dave Wilcox along with Hadfield South Councillor Bob Mckeown are inviting Gamesley residents to join them for their latest councillor’s surgery, which is taking place this Saturday morning (12th February).
With the prospect of cuts coming to local services, as the local council’s and other bodies set their budgets, the Gamesley trio are asking for local’s views on what local services matter to them.
Cllr Anthony Mckeown said “Whilst the full effects are not yet know, with the details from the County Council’s budget meeting on the 2nd February, and the headlines elsewhere there will very likely be an impact on local services and we want your views on which of those services are most important to you”
“We also want to hear local residents concerns following the recent increase to bus fares which took place this week, which means the return fare from Gamesley to Glossop, is 20p short of the return fare from Glossop to Buxton”.
The surgery is continuing at the new time of 9.00am until 10.00am (instead of the previous 11.00am till noon) and locals are welcome to call even if they don’t have a particular issue or grumble to raise with the councillors, it takes place in the Gamesley Resident’s Association Office on Winster Mews on Gamesley
Councillor Mckeown also said “Don’t forget that councillors aren’t just available at surgeries and if you can’t attend our surgery in person or at all, we still want to hear from you and there’s a variety of ways you can get in touch by going to my website at www.anthonymckeown.info/getintouch for further information.”
