Congratulations Glossop North End
Big congratulations to Glossop North End who won through to the final's of
the FA Vase after a tense and at times nail biting semi final match on
Saturday.
For those of us lucky enough to be in attendance at Saturday's match, you
got the chance to go through a whole range of emotions from the early lead
taken by Glossop, to the equaliser and extra time lead of Chalfont St Peter
to the late last second equaliser for Glossop North End, and then the
penalties.
However finally Glossop North End's 17 year old goalie Ashlea Gotham, pulled
off a fantastic save in the sudden death part of the penalty shoot out,
followed by Glossop's Rick Bailey finishing what he'd started after scoring
the opening goal by calmly putting away the winning penalty.
Ticket and travel details are still been finalised for the final at Wembley
Stadium on Sunday 10th May, and I hope that if the two council's can assist
in any way they will.
I hope to be attending the final and I'm sure that many more than were in
attendance on Saturday will also want to cheer Glossop on to victory in the
final.
