Board meeting / away day
High Peak Community Housing was a bit of a theme last week, with the monthly board meeting on the Wednesday, and a board away day on the Friday.
As flagged up previously the board meeting considered a range of reports including updates on finance and performance, the management agreement, the impact of the credit crunch, and the trailblazers programme.
We also had a report on dealing with suspected child abuse cases, something which in the light of the baby ‘p’ case is particularly important to make sure all agencies and bodies are doing all they can to prevent any future such incidents.
Friday’s away day which was held in the Glossop Cricket and Bowling Club was particularly interesting, with the day covering a number of training and awareness issues.
