Christmas Arrangements – Some general details
All council and High Peak Community Housing Offices will close at 2.00pm on
Christmas Eve and will then reopen on Friday 2nd January except for the
Gamesley, New Mills and Fairfield HPCH offices which will reopen on Monday
5th January.
However the Council's Call Centre will be open in between (29th / 30th /
31st) from 8.30am until 4.30pm (same times on Friday 2nd January) and can be
contacted on 0845 129 7777 or 01457 851600
For genuine emergencies during the Christmas period for either the Council
or HPCH, call 01663 752099
For Derbyshire County Council issues, such as gritting and snow clearing,
please call 08456 058 058.
For any police matters, which is not a matter of life or death, call 0345

Bin collections that would normally take place on Christmas Day (either
green or black) will take place on Saturday 27th December.
Black bin collections that would normally take place on Boxing Day will take
place on Saturday 27th December.
Green bin collections that would normally take place on Boxing Day will not
take place until the next normal collection on Friday 9th January.
Black bin collections that would normally take place on New Years Day will
take place on Saturday 3rd January.
Green bin collections that would normally take place on New Year Day will
not take place until the next normal collection on Thursday 15th January.
