Gamesley Community Centre have the following two events / courses starting
Weight Matters is a course provided by Tameside and Glossop Primary Care
Trust which seeks to give people the information, help and advice they need
to make positive steps at losing weight and improving their health.
The course which is free runs for 6 weeks from Thursday 6th June and is on
between 6.00pm to 7.15pm.

Starting on Friday 30th May, is a Gameblast a new initiative sponsored by
the Community Centre Partnership, the Big Lottery, Safer Communities, High
Peak Community Housing and the Police to provide a new game console session
that gives young people the opportunity to play in a supervised and safe
place at the Community Centre.
The sessions which are part offered as a diversionary activity to reduce
issues of anti social behaviour, are split into two 45 minutes sessions for
under 12's starting at 6.00pm and 6.45pm, and two for those aged over 13 at
7.30pm and 8.15pm.
Advance booking for any of the sessions is needed as there are only 14 place
