Coming up
This evening (Tuesday) sees a meeting of the council's executive which
amongst other items will consider the Corporate Plan and financial strategy
and then recommend them to the full council on the 6th March for approval.
Other items under discussion include the 'concordat' for relations between
High Peak and Staffordshire Moorlands including the establishment of a joint
member committee, along with reports on the draft character appraisals for
the Whaley Bridge, Chapel-en-le-frith and New Mills Conservations Area,
along with the appointment of a new representative to the Mary Ellen Allen
Charity in Glossop to replace former Simmondley Councillor George Kuppan.
Next week on Wednesday 20th February a meeting of the audit and regulatory
committee will take place, and will consider amongst other items a report on
how the council will deal with the local petitions and calls for action
legislation along with a review of how the call in procedure works, which on
initial reading seeks to restrict councillors ability to call in and review
decisions of the executive.
