Christmas Full Council Meeting
Tonight sees the pre Christmas meeting of the full council, which looks to
have a packed agenda starting off with a special meeting to transfer the
freedom rights to the Mercian Regiment, followed by several questions to
council's executive members on topics including the Crescent and Recycling.
Several recommendations from a number of council committee's including who
will be next years mayor, the council's media policy, banning drinking on
the streets in Buxton, licensing policy and the Woods Mill Action Plan.
Followed by several motions on parking, double rating and town and village
green application, finished off by what is likely to be a controversial item
in the appointment of the council new chief executive, who if the
recommendation from the appointments and appeals panel is accepted will be
the current chief executive of Staffordshire Moorlands Council working in a
job share role basically half a week for the High Peak and the other half
for Staffordshire Moorlands.
