The photo on the left was taken this morning at the Hollins Lane Bus Stop, and shows the result left after someone has dumped rubbish in the bus stop bin.
Arrangements will be made for this area to be cleared up. Additionally (I hope) work will also be done to try and identify the person who has done the fly tipping, with a view to prosecuting them.
Now I realise that some people may be struggling with or may not want to take part in the new ‘twin-bin’ arrangements. But that does not make fly tipping acceptable or permitted, because at the end of day, although it will be cleaned up, it still makes ‘our’ area look a mess until it is.
If you are having difficulty getting to grips with the ‘twin-bin’ arrangements please contact the council’s Binnovation team via the call centre on 0845 129 77 77, who can help you make sure you are getting rid of you rubbish in the most effective and environment friendly way.
