Samas Roneo Planning June 2018Tomorrow (Thursday 7th June) see the ends of the public consultation period for the current round of planning applications for the former Samas Roneo site.

This current round sees two applications under consideration for the site.

Application HPK/2018/0178 seeks to vary condition 4 of the 2014 planning application changing the site layout and moving the vehicle access further up to road from it currently approved more or less in line with the current junction of Glossop Road and Melandra Castle Road, to across from the gap between 63 and 61 Glossop Road.

Application HPK/2018/0191 is the reserve matters – detailed information for the 2014 planning application that was approved as an outline application for 93 dwellings. This application details the exact design, layout and type - style of houses that will be built on the site if the application is approved.

The application is still for 93 dwellings on the site, of which 28 will be affordable dwellings scattered throughout the site, with the plan been for a mix of one and two-bed apartments, and two, three and four-bed houses.

Finally, this is not the end of planning application for this site, as I understand that an application for 44 dwellings on the top part of the field up to Gamesley Bridge is expected to be live for consideration shortly.
