HPBC Annual Council and Mayor Making

This evening (14th May) has seen this year’s Annual Council and Mayor making, along with a normal meeting of full council to ‘finish off’ the previous ‘council  year’ and as opposed to the other recent meetings which have featured issues around the local plan, it was a slightly quieter gathering.

You can view the agenda details of the normal council meeting by clicking here, one item of particular note is the annual select committee report (click here to view – annual select committee report) which both details and reviews the work of the council’s select committee’s, including for the first time this year the council’s new housing select committee which was established last year following the decision to bring the management of our council housing back in house.

For the annual council meeting you can view the agenda details by clicking here, for most items under discussion on the agenda there was little change with most folk remaining on the same committee’s etc, the main change of course was electing a new Mayor, with this year’s choice been Cllr Alan Barrow from New Mills, with the Deputy Mayor been Cllr Lynn Stone from Buxton.
