St Margaret’s Governors
Last Wednesday evening saw a meeting of the Governors at St Margaret's
School.
The meeting which bid a fond farewell to popular head Simon Groarke, who is
leaving to take up the post of head teacher at St Mary's School in Glossop,
along with consideration of the school travel plan.
The school travel plan is a plan which looks to encourage more children and
parents to walk to school rather than driving and has some interesting ideas
on tackling some of the problems which prevent children and parents from
walking at current.
One particular concern raised was around car's parking inconsiderately on
footpaths on the routes from the estate up to the school and hopefully we
will be able to work in partnership with the estate's Safer Neighbourhood
Team to tackle that problem.
