Tuesday afternoon was spent in the GRA Office, attending a consultation event, organised by High Peak Community housing (the ALMO) and the Council, on the theme of building more houses on the estate.
Two schemes are been suggested, one for the Burbage area of the estate and one for the Hurdlow area of the estate.
The Burbage scheme is for 8 one bedroom supported flats for young people, with the Hurdlow scheme been for four 3 bedroom houses.
Public response to the two scheme during the afternoon was very much against, with very few supportive of the scheme, even after more detailed explanation of the schemes by the various officers present.
More details on the two schemes will be available on the Website on late Friday / Saturday.
