Gamesley Bus Fare & Ticket Information
At current there is one bus company that runs the local buses services on Gamesley, aside from just paying for a single journey there are a range of day, weekly and monthly tickets available.
There are also a range of tickets that if you are travelling into Greater Manchester or elsewhere in Derbyshire, or on the train / Metrolink that can save you money as well.
Day tickets / Returns
High Peak Buses offer returns on their services (which are only valid on their services), along with three different day tickets, which can be brought from your driver :
The Peak Plus day ticket cost’s £7.50 for Adults, £5 for children and £15 for a Family Ticket (upto 2 adults and 2 children aged 16). It is valid on almost all their services except :
TransPeak between Matlock and Derby.
TransPeak between Hazel Grove and Manchester.
Skyline between Hazel Grove and the Airport before 09:00.
The PeakPlus Xtra day ticket is there newest day ticket which is offered in conjunction with TM Travel, and is valid on all services operated by High Peak & TM Travel Services within Derbyshire, including: travel to/from Macclesfield, Derby, Buxton and Matlock and travel with TM Travel to Sheffield.
The PeakPlus Extra costs just £12.50 for Adults, £8 for children and £23 for a Family Ticket (upto 2 adults and 3 children aged 16 or 2 adults, 2 children & 1 dog).
High Peak Metro is valid for unlimited travel on High Peak buses within the System One area. A 50% discount is available to IGO card holders, but no discount is available for other customers (including b_line).

If you use High Peak Buses on a regular basis – but not often enough to look at a weekly or monthly ticket – you may be interested in their Travel Club, it costs £10 (plus £1 p&p) to join and offers members 15% off the price of standard single and return fares. High Peak Buses offer both a weekly and monthly ticket that can be bought (in advance) via Payzone or on the bus.
The price is determined by the journey you make, and the bus driver will be able to tell you the exact price for your trip, or you can contact High Peak Buses for further information.
High Peak also offer the Metro ticket (only valid in the system one area) as a weekly ticket £15 or IGO Weekly £7.50.
Stagecoach offer both weekly and monthly tickets they are priced as follows :
Megarider 7 Day £13.50 – Valid on the Stagecoach Manchester, Stagecoach Wigan and Magic Bus network.

System One Travelcards / Get me there Smartcard
The only range of tickets, that is valid on all the different companies that run our local services, is the System One / Get me there range of tickets, which also have the added advantage of been valid across Greater Manchester, and depending on which version you buy on trams and trains as well.
In terms of the basics, you can get an any bus day ticket for £5.60 if bought before 9.30, and £5.20 if bought after, with an adult and one child ticket costing £7.50 and a group ticket for 2 adults & up to 3 children costing £11.00 – or if you have a get me there card it is £5.00 for the adult any bus ticket (at any time).

System One have also introduced a weekender ticket which is valid from 6.00pm Friday until midnight Sunday. It cost’s £10 for one person and £15 for two – further details here : http://www.systemonetravelcards.co.uk/travelcards/weekender
For weekly or monthly ticket’s you need to register / have a system one pass or get me there card, which you can do either on line at www.systemonetravelcards.co.uk or www.getmethere.co.uk or by visiting a TfGM Travelshop (nearest are either Ashton or Hyde Bus Station)
Once registered you can then buy weekly and monthly tickets either online, or by visiting a TfGM Travelshop or even more locally from either Morgan’s or Londis – or any other paypoint retailer
Weekly tickets for the bus cost £18.50, (£17 via get me there) and monthly tickets cost £65 / £60 if you have a get me there card and, they are valid across Greater Manchester and on any bus (they are also valid across all of Glossopdale and Hayfield and New Mills), and again as with the day versions they are bus and train / tram varieties available.
Other Day Tickets
If you’re looking at going further afield for a day out or anything else there is also the Wayfare ticket which is available in two versions, a Derbyshire version and a Greater Manchester one.
The Derbyshire Wayfarer allows virtually unlimited bus and train travel throughout Derbyshire for a whole day. Along with travel between Derbyshire and Sheffield*, Burton-on-Trent*, Macclesfield*, Leek* and Uttoxeter*. * Town/city centre (valid on direct journeys to/from Derbyshire only)
Derbyshire Wayfarer Ticket Prices
£12.30 for an Adult (plus one child under 16)
£6.15 for a senior citizen, a child under 16, or a holder of a Gold Card
£22.50 for a group of up to 2 adults and up to 3 children

Group £23 – Up to 2 adults and 2 children. Children must be aged under 16. Proof of age may be required.
Concession £6 – For children 5 – 15 years (inclusive) or adults aged 60 and over. No concessionary pass or permit is needed but proof of age may be required.
