Summer 2019 Bus Time Changes
Summer 2019 Bus Time Changes : From today (21st July) in common with most year’s Stagecoach Manchester are switching there services from the regular timetable to a special school/summer holiday’s version.
The changes for us in Glossopdale only effect the 236/7, and they are relatively minor and except for the additional journeys detailed below switch back again at the start of September.
236 / 7 Glossop to Ashton Service
As flagged above the changes only affect morning and afternoon journeys.
For example, the 6.25 236 will now depart Shirebrook Drive at 6.32, with 237 journeys similarly affected with the 6.42 now leaving from Glossop at 6.49 and the following 236 journey now leaving Glossop at 6.59 instead of 6.53.
Most journies are expected to arrive at more or less the same time as usual, so you may have some longer wait time along your journey.
In the afternoons, buses will generally leave their starting point at the same time but arrive at their final destination a little earlier. If you board your bus in the middle of the route, you may need to arrive at your stop to leave a little earlier than you currently do.

If you connect to a further Stagecoach service beyond Glossop, they will be similarly affected for the next few weeks.
Also, Stagecoach is also adding a new journey on the 237 from Glossop to Stalybridge. This will depart from Shirebrook Park at 1913 on weekdays, 1938 from Glossop Town Centre on Saturdays, and 1919 from the town centre on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
