SFTW – Glossop Carnival 2018
SFTW – Glossop Carnival 2018: This coming weekend, sees the local start of the carnival season so for something for the weekend, there’s only one suggestion and that’s the Glossop Carnival weekend taking place in Glossop’s Manor Park.
The weather forecast is predicting that sun will be shining with maximum temperatures of 24 degrees on Saturday and 27 on Sunday, and there will be a whole host of activities taking place during the fun packed weekend that has been put together by the Glossop Arts and Leisure Association.
The fun kicks off with a grand opening by the Mayor of the High Peak, Cllr Linda Grooby just after 12 noon on Saturday.
On the two pictures below you can see the details of what’s on and when, and as well as the acts, there’s a whole host of stalls and other activities.
This year’s main act is the Black Eagles who I understand are an acrobatics display team, along with displays from Centre Stage Dance on the Saturday and Kennedys School of Performing Arts on Sunday, along with music from Arnfield Brass on the Saturday and the Regent Big Band on Sunday.
It starts at noon on both the Saturday and Sunday in Manor Park.
Howard Town Brewery will be providing the beer tent on both days along with plenty of refreshments, craft and charity stalls.
