The former Centurion – latest update
The former Centurion – latest update : Following news a month or two ago about the licensing application submitted by One Stop for the former Centurion Pub, there has now been a planning application submitted to make alterations to the front and side of the former pub.
You can see details of the application (HPK/2015/0637) on the council’s website by clicking here, and if you want to comment on the application click here for details on how, however given that the application is for effectively minor alterations, I expect the application will be dealt with via officer delegation, rather than going before the development control committee.
In terms of what the changes are, the image below shows the current situation :
and with alterations to the front (from the road), rear (from the car park) and the side (across from the park), the below photo shows the future layout :
The alterations change the front of the former pub, to split it into two units – sets of windows / doors (and remove the upstairs windows), along with alterations to the side removing the side door, former toilet’s and vault windows, and the rear removing the vault windows and replacing them with a door.
If you have any views on the proposed changes, please get in touch.
** Please note there is a second application which is proposing additional changes, the details will be added shortly.
