Something for the weekend – St Margaret’s Summer Fair
If you’re looking for something to do tomorrow (Saturday), then a good choice would be the St Margaret’s Summer Fair taking place from 10.00am tomorrow.
Taking place up at the school on Glossop Road, just over Gamesley bridge there’s a whole host of activities from raffles, tombola’s, bouncy castles, cakes and more along with a car boot sale as well.
As well as the activities there’s the great summer raffle, which features some of the following prizes (many thanks to those who have donated) :
Pete the milk man – hamper
Pony Patch – Pony ride voucher
Evolution Martial arts free training Voucher
Slide and Seek – free admission
Swains Karting Buxton – Family tickets
Derbyshire County Cricket – tickets to home game
If you’re looking for a spot on the car book please try the details on the poster, but other than that it look like it will be another great event – it runs until 2.00pm.
If you’re looking to go a little further, there’s a few great suggestions on the visit Manchester blog (https://visitmanchesterblog.wordpress.com/2015/06/26/3-things-to-do-in-greater-manchester-this-weekend-26-28-june-2015/), including a great chance to see the last remaining flying Vulcan bomber on it’s salute to the v-force tour (http://www.vulcantothesky.org/salute-to-the-v-force-tour.html) where it will be flying over both Manchester and Barton Airports along with an overflight of the former Woodford site where it was built.
